This mission was initiated as part of an exploratory visit by SERVTEC
International DRC, aimed at identifying business opportunities in the region's port and industrial markets

Target: ICTSI (International Container Terminal Services Inc.), a leading Philippine operator in port handling, concessionaire of the largest container terminal in the DRC located in Matadi, in the Bas-Congo region.
Applicant: International service providers in consulting and project management SERVTEC International Group, specializing in outsourced management of qualified personnel, HSE training and fire fighting for industry.
Sector: Port handling and logistics.
Challenge: Assist ICTSI in the management of security and fire-fighting for its strategic installations, in response to a need for training and global solutions for a terminal planned for an annual capacity of 120,000 containers.

Initial diagnosis:
Analysis of container terminal security and fire-fighting needs .
Identification of an initial need for training for national technical and manual staff.
Key actions:
1- Strategic approach: Contact with the Technical Director of ICTSI in Kinshasa through a business network established via their HSE Manager.
2- Initial proposal: Favorable response to a request for short fire safety training modules.
3- Development of an expanded offer: Identification of a more global need, transformed into a contract covering:
Management and maintenance of fire safety equipment and systems for the terminal.
Provision of an on-site training consultant for a period of one year.
Sale of specialized equipment, including:
- Fully equipped ambulances.
- Fire trucks.
- Fire extinguishers and other prevention-protection equipment.
Result:
Measured impact
Completion of a comprehensive contract providing fire safety coverage for all terminal facilities.
Optimization of fire safety for an infrastructure designed to handle 120,000 containers per year.
